Reprography and other services

The Jagiellonian Library offers reprographic, conservation, and bookbinding services, disinfection of collections, rental of rooms, and filming sessions.

In accordance with the current law, the Jagiellonian Library does not fulfil orders for copies (photocopies, scans, printouts, digital files) of materials protected by copyright. However, the Jagiellonian Library can on request make paid copies of items that are in the public domain (e.g. if 70 years have passed since the author's death), those that are made available under licences which allow copying, or for which it has concluded relevant agreements with the owners of intellectual property rights.

The user can copy materials from the Library's collection on his/her own, in particular using self-service devices available within the Library, provided that:
- their form and state of preservation allow it (at the discretion of the librarian),
- in the case of copyrighted materials, the copies are made for personal use only.

  • Scanners are available in Research Reading Room and the Main Reading Room (Lectorium)
  • Self‑scanning is free of charge
  • Scans can be sent out via e-mail, saved in the cloud or on one’s own media
