Bibliometric services

Bibliometrics consists in application of statistical and mathematical methods to analyse scholarly publications. The Jagiellonian Library offers its users a comprehensive professional assistance in making most effective use of bibliometric tools.

For researchers, doctoral students, and students of the Jagiellonian University

  • we verify the submitted bibliometric analysis of individual scholarly output involving the cumulative impact factor, the number of citations, and the Hirsch coefficient (according to the Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar through Publish or Perish). We also offer consultations on how to perform bibliometric analysis on one’s own.

For all users

  • as part of our “Librarian for You” service, we offer bibliometric advice and training on how to carry out one’s own bibliometric analysis using available online resources such as the Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar, including citations of publications, Hirsch index, impact factor for periodicals, and cumulative impact factor.
