BASE: Bielefeld Academic Search Engine
A multi-field academic search engine run by the Bielefeld University Library. It reaches selected sources overlooked by commercial search engines.

CAIRN.INFO 
Established in 2005 by four Belgian and French academic publishers, the database offers the most comprehensive online collection of Francophone publications in the social sciences and humanities. The English-language version of the platform provides access to English-language abstracts and selected articles from key journals in the collection.

CORE
Aggregator of open access repositories and journals. It enables text search, filtering the obtained results according to various criteria and recommends additional literature in the field of interest.

DART Europe E-theses Portal 
The metadata database makes it possible to access doctoral theses in open access, which are stored in various academic and institutional repositories in Europe. In the database, you can search for works according to the terms you are interested in or browse through separate indexes.

DOAJ - Directory of Open Access Journals
A multi-field list of international peer-reviewed scientific journals available under open access conditions, searchable at the article criteria.

DOAB- Directory of Open Access Books
The database indexes and provides access to scientific, peer-reviewed open access books. It holds nearly 58,364 peer-reviewed academic books in various fields of knowledge.

Google Books Search
A service that works similarly to a search engine. Allows you to search for books whose content matches the entered terms.

Google Scholar
A toll-free specialized search engine that includes various publications from many fields of knowledge.

KVK - Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog
Multi-search engine of the University of Karlsruhe Library (Karlsruher Institut für Technologie), enabling searching the catalogues of the world's leading libraries (especially German-language ones) and selected databases.

LIBRARIA
A database of full-text periodicals published in modern Ukraine, mainly from the 1920s to the 1940s in Ukrainian, as well as Polish, Yiddish, Tatar, German and Russian languages.

OAIster
Linked Libraries search engine that searches open access digital resources. It currently covers over 30 million records from 1,500 member institutions (including academic repositories). It searches for digitized books, manuscripts, master's and doctoral theses, statistical data, multimedia materials.

OpenAIRE
A pan-European meta-repository that allows access to Open Access resources. The platform goes beyond the traditional aggregator of scientific publications. The project also aims to support scientists in placing research results in institutional or field repositories, building infrastructure for a network of repositories, researching scientific data management services together with communities of scientists from selected disciplines. The
OpenAIRE infrastructure helps researchers and coordinators of scientific projects through guides, training and individual advice.

OpenDOAR
Directory of open repositories from around the world. It allows you to both search for repositories and search their resources by several categories, e.g. field of knowledge, document type and language, geographical location. OpenDOAR provides creators of open archives with support tools and the opportunity to share their experience.

Paperity
The first multi-field aggregator of journals and scientific articles published in open access. It indexes a large and growing percentage of new "gold-type" articles and includes publications from many leading scientific publishers.

Persée
A collection of French and French-language journals as well as other humanities scholarly publications published from the 19th century to the present day. It provides access to, usually full text, publications in the field of anthropology, archaeology, economy, philosophy, geography, history, linguistics, social communication, literary studies, political science, pedagogy, law, psychology, sociology and art.

Project Gutenberg
A multilingual collection of eBooks that can be downloaded and distributed free of charge for non-commercial purposes.

Worldwide publisher database that is searchable by country, field, language, services, and more.

Index Translationum

EMIS The European Mathematical Information Service 
An information service developed by the European Mathematical Society (EMIS). It provides access to the largest electronic mathematical library ElibM. It also informs about current events in the European mathematical community.

EuDML – European Digital Mathematical Library
Europe's largest digital collection of mathematics articles and books. Most of the resources are English-language publications, but works in over 20 other languages are also available in the library. The oldest digitized publications in the library come from the 16th century. The Polish Digital Mathematical Library is a part of EuDML.

PubMedCentral (PMC)
A digital archive for the U.S National Institute of Health (NIH). Includes peer-reviewed articles from biomedical and life sciences journals.

The United Nations Digital Library
The UN documents database from 1979 onwards. Older documents are added continuously in the process of retroconversion. Some documents are available in full text in 6 languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.

SURF
A search engine for the German Bundesinstitut für Sportwissenschaft (BISp) recording, often with full access, publications and videos in various languages, including Polish.

IMSLP Petrucci Music Library
The database contains music prints, recordings of works and information about composers from around the world. Most of the materials are available in open access.

Espacenet
The database offers access to patent documents of the European Patent Office, patent offices of individual European countries and a global database of patent applications.

USPTO United States Patent and Trademark Office
