Opening hours of the Jagiellonian Library
The patrons without Ph.D. should present a recommendation letter from their supervisor or issued by their home research institution in order to use early printed books, rare publications and ephemera, as well as graphic materials and maps collections. Each patron is asked to fill a relevant declaration form when using the reading room for the first time.

Collections available
- Items from the reference collection (marked in the online catalogue as ‘Oddz. St. Dr.’ for early printed books, ‘Oddz. Graf.’ for Prints, and ‘Oddz. Kart.’ for Maps respectively)
- Requested from the relevant stock rooms:
- Early printed books
- Books and periodicals published in 19th–21st c. (except for the IV and V formats) to assist patrons in their research work with items from the special collections
- Collections of maps and graphic materials (albums, engravings, drawings, photographs, maps, atlases)
- Rare publications
- Ephemera
- Items from the Centre for the Research and the Documentation of the Polish Struggles for Independence (please contact sowiniec@gmail.com before requesting)
Catalogues
- Alphabetical and subject card catalogues of the reference collection
- Auxiliary card catalogues (catalogues of provenances, Polish and foreign printing houses, microfilms et al.)
- Card catalogues of albums, engravings, drawings, photographs, maps, and atlases
- Card catalogues of rare publications and ephemera
All requests placed before 2.30 pm are fulfilled in the normal course. The items requested after 2.30 pm are provided to the reading room the next day. No requests are fulfilled on Saturdays.
